Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor

Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor is my third Capstone Project. For this project, I had to choose a national park and make my logo and website for it. I choose to do The Gullah Geechee Corridor. I choose them because I heard about the Gullah Geechee before and I was very interested in learning more about them. I didn't know these people existed. If you don't know about the Gullah people, they were slaves brought to America from West Africa. They lived on the coast of North and South Carolina, Florida, and Georgia. They have their park to preserve the remaining of their existence.

I was inspired by the Gullah Geechee people sweet grass weaving that I created my weaving basket. I was told by my instructor that I should made a simplified version of weaving basket I created. That's how I came up with logo that you see below.

Here is my website that I coded for the Gullah Geechee Corridor.
I also had to create some advertisement and merchandise for this project too. I created a two posters for advertising. I made mockups for a coffee cup, car stickers, and a t-shirt. The illustrations I created are of the Gullah Geechee people.
